POSITION: CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERN STATUS: Full Time STARTING PAY: Based on experience HOURS: 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 11:30 am on Friday LOCATION: Metairie, LA Office OPPORTUNITY: GEC’s Civil Engineering Group has an open position for a Pre-Professional Civil Engineering Intern focused on developing a career as a civil engineer. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: · Has obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering (from an ABET accredited program). · The desire to obtain a Louisiana Engineering Licensing Board (LAPELS) certification as an Engineer Intern (EI) · Possess strong written, oral, and computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, notably Excel and Word · Must have the ability to work within the United States. Job offer does not include visa sponsorship. · Students with a minimum 2.7 GPA will be considered for this position. JOB REQUIREMENTS: · Must possess a valid driver’s license; driving or the ability to perform off-site work is a job requirement · Employer maintains a drug-free workplace policy.
